About the Founder

Soul Shine was founded by Allison Alexander. Allison was born and raised in South Florida. Her passions were always found in nature and the ocean. When she attended her first yoga class as an adult she found it quenched her need for something more therapeutic for her body, healing for her heart, and enlightening for her mind.

Upon discovering yoga, Allison put all of her focus into her well-being. Practicing yoga as a form of meditation in movement and nurturing her body with healthy whole foods. Like so many others, Alli searched for happiness everywhere outside of herself. Turning to external sources that would never give her the serenity and internal peace she longed for. It was through consistent practice of yoga that she found the ultimate gift of presence and joy within herself.

After three years of her own personal practice, Allison completed her first 200-hour teacher training at Om Joyful Yoga with Joy Kochemer in Davie, FL. There she developed a soft yet powerful style of teaching incorporating both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga; connecting mind, body, and soul. She then completed an additional 500 hours of yoga teacher training at Anuttara Yoga Shala with Phillip Christodolou to deepen her knowledge. She now specializes in Hatha, Raja, Yin, and Vinyasa Yoga. Following her yoga trainings, holistic nutrition quickly became her next passion. Allison studied at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, Colorado, and received her Nutrition Therapist degree.

One of Allison’s greatest aspirations in life is to share her knowledge of yoga and holistic nutrition with others. Offering these services as the lead teacher and owner of Soul Shine. Her mission in life is to inspire, enlighten, and elevate those who surround her in hopes that these practices will spread like wildfire, touching lives all over the world.
